The Varsity Swim team split in their dual meet with Andrews Osborne Academy and Wickliffe. The team defeated Wickliffe 130-92 (girls 84-32 and boys 46-60) but were just edged out by Andrews Osborne, 65-68.
Top girls scorers against Wickliffe were
Taylor Russell (perfect 16 points),
Maddy Greenway and Kaitlin Johnson (14 points each),
Cadence Burr (12 points),
Nilah Jackson and
Anna Harris (10 points each), and
Kourtnie Freeman (8 points).
Taylor Russell took first place in each of her events. Top boys scorers were
Ryan Robinson (14 points), Declin Burr (11 points), Francis Lanigan and
Tylen Willis (10 points each), and Jackson Greenway (2 points).
The Panthers also set a number of Personal Records:
- Cadence Burr 36.80 in the 50 freestyle
- Ryan Robinson 27.07 in the 50 freestyle
- Kourtnie Freeman set personal records in the 50 freestyle and 500 freestyle
- Declin Burr set a personal record in the 100 freestyle
Next up for the team is the GCC Championship meet on Saturday at CSU. The next home meet is on Wednesday, January 18th, for their Senior Night.
